About the Author
The Author: Ron Evans, an English Professor at the University of West Florida-Pensacola, has been a practicing linguist, psycho-linguist, and rhetorician for the past 25 years. His books include studies of syntactic development and cultural heritage of the Southeastern U.S. His interest in the Monomyth and Joseph Campbell began in the mid 1960's and has yielded several published articles in literary journals. Dr. Evans has also been trained in the special field application of Transactional Analysis to native language instruction.

While applying the fundamentally structuralist "Monomyth" system to everything from Greek mythology to relatively recent works of fiction and film, Dr. Ron Evans advocates an inclusive and life-affirming approach to the asthetic that enlivens even the most cursory of readings.
